Everything was exceptional. The only complaint isn't with the staff or the actual experience, but the size of the restaurant. If it was a little bit bigger it would be somewhere I would dine in all the time. That isn't really a big issue though, because we had a party of almost 20 and we took up the entire back wall. Food was excellent, hot, and service was amazing.

I found this place pretty quickly as we were heading home from Thanksgiving through Pensacola. I wanted to grab some seafood for lunch before we headed back to Louisiana. The building doesn't look like much from the outside but it's perfectly fine on the inside. We were seated quickly and service was super friendly and prompt. The waitress was able to make suggestions. I ordered the flounder, my daughter the shrimp & grits. Portions were large and we enjoyed it. The fish was well cooked and flavorful. The slaw was homemade. I sampled the shrimp & grits and it was a winner. I would go back but since I'm rarely there, I would probably try another seafood place searching for that seafood perfection.

I'm really getting tired of giving good reviews; maybe I'm really appreciating well-prepared food! Who doesn't like creamy, cheesy grits, greens that are so good you don't need pepper sauce? Did I mention my mullet, lest I forget? Hours later, I'm still smiling from my meal. Nuff said.

Compare to the one in Milton, this place did not impress me. The smoke tuna dip was different than we had in Milton, so they must have different recipe. The one we were served here was very wet and lose dip and too much mayonnaise that killed smokey flavor. I would preffer the Milton location overall.

Decent place, it was good but not great. The breading on the fish could use some better battering. The butter beans were like nothing we’d seen and we were fortunate the waitress allowed us to swap the item for greens because we didn’t like them. The greens were good. Grilled shrimp and fried mullet was tasty.

We had a great dinner here. Shrimp & Grits - $19.75. The shrimp & grits were excellent. The grits were cheesy enough to add flavor but not so much that they felt heavy or greasy. The sausage and shrimp added bursts of savory flavor with each bite. Highly recommended. Seafood Gumbo (bowl only) - $11.50. Served piping hot with an excellent seafood flavor that blended together perfectly. It was very salty but also very tasty. If it was less salty, it would be a perfect bowl of gumbo. Still, I’d get it again. Fried Mullet Dinner - $15.95. The fried mullet was good. It had a fine, stringier flesh with some chew compared to cod or even catfish. The flavor was good—not muddy like some catfish can be. It was served as individual filet portions and a separate backbone. They were all breaded in cornmeal and deep-fried. Served with tartar sauce and a lemon wedge. After eating the fillets, I ate the backbone by removing a sliver of the edge (which had small pin bones) and pulling the meat off the spine. Hushpuppies (side). Amazing. They had a thin, crispy crust and a soft, fluffy interior with bits of sweet corn kernels and red peppers. They tasted like seafood and were wonderful overall. Fried Okra (side). Tender and crunchy with no stringiness. Mixed Vegetables (additional side) - $3.25. Likely boiled or steamed. The cauliflower was mushy and bland but went great with the salty gumbo. The broccoli stems at the bottom of the bowl had more flavor, seasoned with lemon pepper. Overall, everything tasted good, and the variety of flavors worked well together. I would definitely jump at the opportunity to eat here again. Note: They charge an additional 4% if you use a credit card.
